Hey you guys! Speidi got hitched for reals over the weekend. Huh? Aren't they having problems on their MTV reality show The Hills? Whatevs!! Heidi and Spencer are now officially married. Blah Blah Blah.

BUT in typical media alert fashion, Speidi turned their wedding into a press product placement ad. Milk it Speidi. Marriage kills press.

Heidi Montag wore a $19.000 Monique L'huillier wedding gown. Hmm, celebs wear Monique all the time, how often is the price of the dress quoted in the press release?

Neil Lane's people must have approved one million dollars worth of jewels just for the name drop.

I'm a huge fan of Monique L'huillier's and have dressed many a Monqiue bride. Heidi's strapless chiffon with the many overlay's is just not the dress I would have chosen. I commend Mrs. Pratt for not going over the top sexy as she does in real life. Add a bonnet and she could be mistaken for Little Bo Peep.

The moral to this fable is: Wearing the most expensive dress and jewels does not make you a more beautiful bride. Wearing sweatpants to cut your cake in? Goes with out saying.

I'm soooo excited. I blogged about Pour La Victoire a few weeks back and guess what? I was with THE fabulous Vanity girl herself Maxine T at Bloomingdales. I saw my post sitting there in real life. Yep folks it was as good as it was in the pic. Remember that fantastic paltform with the ivory kilt on top? I felt like I had just met one of my long lost children. (Not that I have any mind you.)

What made me such a proud blog mommy is that it was over $275 bucks, sure with the Bloomies discount it would come down BUT it was not at the sample sale price that I wrote about=$110 bucks. Whose your momma now?

First lady Michelle Obama is being likened back to the days of Jackie Kennedy. A compliment bestowed and not to be taken lightly. Michelle has really impressed me by wearing the accessible American brand J.Crew mixed with Indy American designers: Jason Wu, Isabel Toledo and Maria Pinto.

MO"s perfect architecting of hi-lo American dressing. Give em what they know while throwing a curve ball. J. Crew=the gimme, indy design=the curve. THAT'S STYLING!

Michelle Obama while in Europe has opted for European designers: Alaia, Moschino and Etro. The first lady came out of the gates with her support for American designers and should be In Europe showing the world her support for America through and through.

Because Jackie Kennedy wore Hubert De Givenchy on her European visit doesn't mean that our new first lady has to follow suit.

American designers on American soil and European designers on European soil in my opinion doesn't show leadership.
