More To Love-Hips and Curves

Have you heard about the new dating show 'More To Love" by the creator of The Bachelor? About time right? My latest client introduced herself by saying " I'm a size 18, I weigh 230 pounds and oh yeah, I'm a man magnet". WoW, right?

Oh, if only my thinner than they think clients would adopt her attitude. Self-love and confidence - super sexy over size.

Plus size girls or rather how I prefer to refer, women's sizing, just not as many shopping options. Of course there's urban hip-hop designer Baby Phat or Nelly's Apple Bottom''s-Fierce fabulosity if you're young or a sister.

Otherwise you're stuck with old lady evening wear or polyester tunic's with too many doo-dads. How about full-figured lingerie? Forget it.

Enter Hips and Curves. Fun and stylish lingerie for the more to love gal. This model is GORG, I should know, I used to handle the BBW's (Big, Beautiful women) as an up and coming agent.

Check out this little romper. $19,99! Hellooo Kitty. The spaghetti straps, stripes and peplum, completely cute enough to wear over jeans with a little sweater.
Bedroom first...Brunch after.

A great outfit enters the room before you do.

Style tip- Check out how slimming spaghetti straps are. Think body geometry. Strategically slice up your personal real estate.

DO NOT AND I REPEAT do not think " I can't wear spaghetti straps" YES, YOU CAN. The straps cut your body into sections. Add a lean hoodie for more coverage.

Tenting your body is a NO-NO. Tops that cover your neckline and arms will make you look bigger no matter what size you are.

More to Love - More LOVE to give.

From swimsuits to Birthday suits-Justnaturalskincare.com

In honor of Earth day. Mother Earth or rather {ME} your style strategist wants you to put down that bamboo t-shirt, forget the eco-consciouss tote bag you know you don't REALLY want. Now, look down at your epidermis doll.

When I was in 5th grade the meanest boy (aren't they all mean at that age) told me my epidermis was showing. He didn't just tell me once, he told me over and over again. I didn't know what epidermis meant then but at 42 I'll do anything to hang onto my epidermis now.

Skin doesn't discriminate by size. Hell no! Your birthday suit is one of your most important accessories in your wardrobe.

Who doesn't want to age well? Before you go to plump or fill in. Why not try the old fashioned way first. Pure hydration, slathering and lathering. Sounds like a date I want to go on.

Justnaturalskincare.com an organic line of butters, creams and serums. Go ahead make Earth day your annual epidermis day.

JNS uses absolutely no chemical substitutes. Just pure organic plant and herb oils found in nature. Mother earth is SO smiling.

Style tip- When you have good skin, it really doesn't matter what you wear. Ok,it always matters but your backdrop, your skin is the canvas for every outfit.

Double style tip- Slather, lather, love your body as much as you want someone else too. Nothing more sexy than self-love and sexy skin. Right boys!

Anyone want to come over and give me a foot serum massage?

Take your vitamins Damnit! Vitamin A swimwear-Hautelook.com

I know you don't have this model's body. Either do I. One thing's certain, It's HOTTER than a pug panting for a popsicle.

I ALWAYS find Vitamin A bikinis ridiculously on sale. These suits are insanely high styled in the most simple way.

Today at Hautelook.com, $31.83 for a bikini? You can't have dinner and drinks for that price. So why not get 2 new swimsuits for the price of 1.

Your swimsuit collection is one of my exceptions when buying multiples from the same brand. Mix and match your tops and bottoms for 4 suits instead of 2. I've got you covered?

Coverage. I want you to really get this through your melon. Wearing more coverage does not minimize your body, ACTUALLY it makes you look bigger. ALWAYS wear a tiny bikini top if you can. More importantly ALWAYS wear a tiny string bikini bottom.

Take a nod from the girls in Brazil, known for their exceptional bunda's and not trying to cover them.

American women are fearful of their hips and bottoms. Men want to hold and love ALL of you. Now it's your turn.

Put you hand on your heart and repeat after me. I will BUY sting bikinis! I will UPDATE my bikinis once every other year.

How come the most important two pieces of material you will wear all summer never get any love?

Love your bikinis, Love your body more.

Style tip- You just got your style tip. Go smaller, let go of old belief systems. Bigger doesn't mean smaller. Smaller means smaller

Double style tip- Is there a body part your man or the man of the moment loves? Don't discount your compliments. No matter who it's coming from.

Alright?... Alright!

No Gilt here-Matt and Nat Vegan Handbags

Who says Vegan's aren't HOT? Matt and Nat have my vegan vote for the sexiest handbags at super sexy sample sale pricing. Move over Stella Mccartney, going vegan doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. No animal pun intended, ok kinda intended.

Matt and Nat put style as high as their love of animals. With 100% recycled faux suede linings and polyurethane coated textiles, you may not be harming any animals, but the environment? That's another story.

Matt and Nat's style is high and the price is low ,so I won't hold it against them.

As your stylist I want you to look great on the budget you have. Big luxury brand handbags don't make you a style superstar.

Style tip- I have specifically chosen the icy grey color to cut all your summer bright clothing OR the bright color's to cut all your Neutral icy hues.

Which girl are you? Pack the punch in your bag or in your wardrobe. The choice is all yours.

You're complicated on the inside, show your style complexity on the outside.

Eye on the prize-Marc Jacobs at Hautelook.com

Check out little miss checkout! Silver lenses and silver mirroring. This frame is back to the future and your future frame is here right now.

These MJ peeps originally cost $550.00. R U kidding me!! I pity the person that paid full price. Thank g-d you know me cuz today the same frame will set you back $200 or so.

MJ does make a nice frame even if he's not designing it. You know that right? Designers license out their names to the big sunglass makers.

If you're an MJ nut then this frames for you. Otherwise look for his knock-off sister, She's out there and probably at Forever 21. The Queen of the knock-off, a very deserved title.

Style tip- Some of the frames Hautelook's showing are kind of" been there done that" That's ok. BUT you aren't reading to be OK!

You're forward, fresh and right on trends OR smart enough to read my blog. Either way, Good Girl!

Style Tip- Lucite will be trending for another season for sure. A new frame is all it takes to revive last summer's sun dress Remember you can wear them everyday and really push your ROI. Just don't lose em!

Double style tip- Once a client said to me "Barbra, I get it. If I have the right sunglasses and handbag than I can still be a slob.' How true it is.

Make sure two items of your shlep scream this season.

Hoop De Hoops by Tat2designs-Shopflick.com

I just had a conversation with a client yesterday and today's post is the solution. Yippee LOVE when the fashion Gods hear me.

Hoops are fine but after a certain age, it's time to move on from the classic flat styling.

If you're 35 and under than your simple hoop is lovely. If you're getting on from your younger days consider wearing a hoop with other elements involved.

Choose a hammered hoop that has texture and isn't traditional in shape. Or today's post from Tat2 designs cleverly anchored with a small fleur de lys charm. Great for your neckline.

Designer Brianna Erin has Hollywood darlings counted as fans: Ashlee Simpson, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Geller.

See a pattern? All young girls with all that baby weight still sitting in their faces. Doesn't mean you can't still wear a hoop but differently than before.

As you age your neck gets tighter, your face gets thinner, throwing charms and curves will actually deflect the aging process. Wow! Less invasive than botox.

Style tip- Keep moving with the times, go through your jewelry box, let go of all your hoops from back in the day. Or get clever and add your own small charms. That's rescuing your sentimental pieces, recession style.

If you can't be bothered, click on over to Shopflick.com-Indy designers supported by video. Of course this item is on Sale!

Modern Vintage-Gilt.com

Have you gotten your style memo today? If not, let me hit you over the head one more time. Shoes this season are BIG- BOLD and above all INTERESTING.

You don't need more than one to shake up your outfit BUT you do need one.

Don't even think of not reading on. Modern Vintage over at Sample Sale purveyor- Gilt.com for only $128. The Beleza platform is a wardrobe winner.

Skin tone mixed with suede, patent and a wooden platform. Well, you know by now. Long lean legs even if it's only an illusion.

Do I repeat myself or what?

Style tip- Pair with easy breathable jersey/cotton dresses. Don't go for your waist.Let your legs do all the talking.

Double style tip-Pair with wide leg trousers or 3/4 cargo pants. If wearing with your skinnies make sure your top has a ton of volume.

Triple style tip- Don't be afraid of the ankle strap. Skintone with a dress that breathes or cropped wider pant will not accentuate your ankles. Trust me, my least favorite body part, or is it my knees.

Final style tip-This shoe is sexy enough all on it's own. Hmm. That's always an option.

The All in One dress by Bagdley Mischka-Gilt.com

Have y'all seen the All in One dress trend this season? Here it is evening style. No thinking, just zip and go. Yippee right?

Strapless is always a whole lot to hold up if you own a C cup or more.

BUT if you carry a supermodel bust line. (Tiny and Petite) I adore this Bagdley Mischka for you.

Beautifully classic white pleated fan detail at the bust. Love the empire waistline with the brooch sash. No need for accessories. Yippee again.

I wouldn't black tie this dress, too expected. Shorten the hem for a beautiful flat or sandal.

Dressing up no longer has to mean up-do's and stiletto's. Wear this dress with a care don't care downtown Edie Sedgewick attitude.

One black Pashmina for your entrance. You'll be the belle of the ball without even trying.

Style tip-Dress down the party. Dress up your life.

Double style tip-Don't be afraid to wear long dresses in your everyday life. Fantastic way to cover what you're working on.

RIP Development- Sample Sale Score

Erica Davies uberly talented designer of the now defunct collection, Development by Erica Davies has sadly succumbed to the economy.
.
These dresses I'm blogging about are actually from Erica's higher end collection. I know her line well. I took it to NY last summer. My girls Alex and Mimi can tell you first hand, these dresses are worth the wholesale plunge.

As the maxi dress continues it's reign, Alex and Mimi were ahead of the curve cuz they know me.

The elegant and feminine fit mixed with all that chiffon. Pure bohemian jetsetter. South of France here you come ok perhaps just a staycation.

Style tip- Long dresses don't always mean high heels, in fact pair this dress with a sandal, little sweater and GO anywhere.
Don't be afraid to dress down dressy.

Double style tip- ED's dresses can live in your wardrobe for the next couple season's. Then demote down your high summer vacation wear.

What Time Is It? Gucci In The Sample Sale Shizzy

I'm not a watch girl don't like the way it bulks up your wrist. I'm constantly trying to get clients to let go of their watches. Isn't that what your Iphone is for? Ok, Ok, you want to wear your watch, hold your phone for double security. I'll leave that one alone.

Stylewise I prefer a clean wrist OR your watch layered with other bracelets.

G's licensed watch division oh so average to the rest of the brand. But I am a huge fan of retro Gucci, so today's pick gets my vote, here's why.

First-The price-HELLO! Style only happens on sale you know that!

Second- Gucci's signature stripe down the center of the face, signals the dopest time of Gucci's legacy. Way pre Tom Ford.

Third- The red rubber band. Rubber is backkkkkkkkkk in accessories.

Fourth- This watch is super lean, truly meant to be worn with other bracelets. Now you've signaled Coco Chanel.

2 legendary designers on the same wrist at the same time? That's a watch worth wearing!

Style tip- One watch, two bracelets, you have my approval.

Double style tip- Keep your wrists watch free for formal attire. Cell phone optional.
