Beyonce B FIERCE

I just did a double take on People.com. There is no way this could B Beyonce. Hello Houston, the beauty queen's out of the country and maybe momma knowles doesn't always know best.

Beyonce looks radiantly fresh and you know what? She looks like the young women that she is? On top of it she must have her boyfriend pants on cuz where did all that booty go?

Whatever happened in Vienna, let's hope B returns with it. Ok, let's dissect. Beyonce looks amazing with her hair naturally curly. Forget all that flat ironing. B's outfit is absolute Cali Cool. Do you hear that Stylecaster? This is how we do it in LA.

From her J. brand icy gray boyfriend jeans with the perfect hang. To her YSL shoes that scream HELLO. Don't even B forgetting that low slung double wrap silver belt and YSL studded bag.

Top it off with a sheer spotted wifebeater and this outfit is more than bangin it up. If only Beyonce would adopt this type of styling on the red carpet. Sigh. One can only hope.

Style tip- All these tones and texture of white mixed with ice grey and silver are exactly how you want to create your own palette. Here's a great rule of thumb: When wearing one color- mix two of it's closest friends together. That's styling.

Does MO know best?

First lady Michelle Obama is being likened back to the days of Jackie Kennedy. A compliment bestowed and not to be taken lightly. Michelle has really impressed me by wearing the accessible American brand J.Crew mixed with Indy American designers: Jason Wu, Isabel Toledo and Maria Pinto.

MO"s perfect architecting of hi-lo American dressing. Give em what they know while throwing a curve ball. J. Crew=the gimme, indy design=the curve. THAT'S STYLING!

Michelle Obama while in Europe has opted for European designers: Alaia, Moschino and Etro. The first lady came out of the gates with her support for American designers and should be In Europe showing the world her support for America through and through.

Because Jackie Kennedy wore Hubert De Givenchy on her European visit doesn't mean that our new first lady has to follow suit.

American designers on American soil and European designers on European soil in my opinion doesn't show leadership.

The first lady came out of the gates with such a brilliant fashion strategy. Sadly her latest move of wearing the designers of the country she is in, makes you wonder whose in charge.

Style tip- I have talked about this before, when you create a signature style, consistency is king. Authenticity in your wardrobe is imperative when you are leading in your own life.

Double style tip- Who doesn't look great in a beautfiul LBD, American or not. Consider your shoes, they are just as important as the dress. The first lady is rather ho hum in the shoe department..

Oh NO JLO

Everyone's entitled to a fashion faux pas. BUT when you're Jennifer Lopez well she's wedged.

JLo has earned the status of fashion icon BUT her top just aint talking to her pants. JLO looks as if she got caught at her lover's house and put this outfit together from clothing left in her trunk.

I mean, I've had some walk of shame moments myself, thankfully not caught by the paparazzi. Good to be infamous not famous.

Style Tip- Always consider the best parts of your body when strategically covering other areas that could appear larger in clothing.

I don't even want to imagine what this outfit looks like from the back of Hollwood's most notorious BUTT. Let's not think about it k?

Double style tip- Once you set a standard of excellence, there's no room for anything BUT. Keep this in mind when raising your own fashion bar. Consistency is KIng.

When bad styling happens to Celebritiies

Madonna was just listed in this outfit on OMG as one of the worst dressed outfits for 2008. While Janet Jackson, Solange deserve their honors, Madonna's outfit is an example of bad styling. I actually think the dress is fun and flirty and a style departure even for the most reinvented master, Madonna herself. What should have been considered when accessorizing this grassy number. I always say, busy and busy make simple but in this case one simple mistake was made that threw off the whole look. Had Madonna worn black opaque tights instead of sheer panty hose, she would have achieved the look she was going for. The hose are simply too Vegas showgirl and Madonna's legs aren't long enough to pull it off. On top of it. Madonna has very short, masculine arms, loading up her arms with thick chunky bangles brings your eye right down to the belt in the middle of her waist, which is just too much going on in one area of her body.

Styling tip- Balance is very important when planning a risky outfit of your own. Black opaque tights are a fantastic neutralizer and when you put something heavy with heavy it will balance the weight of your outfit.
